Everest's Story
Meet Everest - a delightful terrier mix who’s about 2 and 1/2 years old and is ready to find her forever home! Weighing a healthy 40 pounds, this smart, playful girl sports a gorgeous, solid white coat and carries a heart full of love wherever she goes. She’s spayed, up-to-date on all her vaccinations, and already house-trained.

Everest gets along well with cats and other dogs. While Everest adores canine company, she can be cautious when first meeting new dogs from afar. Once introductions are handled calmly and gradually, she blossoms into a playful pal. On a leash, she’s enthusiastic and eager to explore. She may bark or pull a bit at first—especially if she spots other dogs at a distance—but with a patient handler, she quickly settles into a happy, well-mannered walk.

Everest is still building her confidence around men, so a female or mixed-gender household with patient male family members would be ideal. She also does not tolerate being crated, so she’ll need a home where she can have free access to a safe, comfortable space instead of spending time in a crate.

This energetic girl needs plenty of daily exercise to keep her mind and body happy - think long walks, active play sessions, and opportunities to romp in a secure yard. A home that can channel her enthusiasm into regular activity will help Everest thrive and continue growing in confidence.

If you’re looking for a loyal companion who’s as ready to learn as she is to love, Everest can’t wait to meet you.
