Eve's Story
Eve came from a terrible puppy mill case and is now getting her first real chance to discover what life outside of a cage can be like. Despite her difficult past, Eve is slowly but surely learning to trust people and navigate the world around her. She is beginning to learn how to walk on a leash and is discovering that people can be a source of comfort and good things. She is still nervous in new situations and has a lot to learn, but she is making progress at her own pace.

Eve is dog friendly and has been making encouraging strides as she experiences new people and new environments. Every small step forward is a big accomplishment for a dog who has spent so much of her life without proper socialization. We think she has so much potential to continue blossoming with the right person. Like the other dogs from this case, Eve is not potty trained and will need patience, consistency, and training as she learns this important skill.

Adopters should also understand that these dogs spent much of their lives confined to tiny cages with very little exposure to the outside world. New experiences can still be overwhelming, and Eve will be a flight risk while settling into her new home. Secure doors, gates, fencing, and careful leash handling will be essential.

Eve still has a long journey ahead of her, but she is slowly learning that the world can be a safe and wonderful place. She needs someone patient and committed who will give her the time she deserves to learn, grow, and experience all the things she was deprived of for so long. We can't wait to see the dog she becomes.
