Eve's Story

Meet Eve - Our Gentle Giant Mama

Eve came to Border Tails Rescue very pregnant, and just one week later she gave birth to 8 beautiful puppies. Since day one, she's been a nurturing and devoted mama, and her foster family feels honored to have earned her trust through it all. Now that her pups are weaned and thriving, it's finally Eve's turn to find a forever home of her own.

Eve is a 90-pound lovebug who thinks she's a lap dog-her favorite thing in the world is snuggling up with her people. She's sweet and welcoming to anyone who enters the home, incredibly affectionate, and very food motivated (which makes training a breeze!).

Eve is dog selective-she has lived with other dogs in her foster home but can be reactive with new ones. Because of this, she'd likely do best as the only pet in the home, or with a very well-matched, calm companion.

She's also leash reactive and a very strong puller, so she'll need a confident handler who can continue working with her on her leash manners and help her feel comfortable on walks.

This gentle girl loves toys of all kinds-but fair warning: stuffies don't stand a chance.

Eve is ready to leave her mama duties fully behind and finally be someone's baby - all her puppies are adopted and now it's her turn! If you're looking for a big-hearted, loyal companion, Eve might just be your perfect match.
