Evangeline's Story

Looking for a loyal sidekick with a heart of gold? Meet this beautiful young German Shepherd mix! At under a year old, she's still a puppy with so much love to give.

This sweet girl is as soft on the inside as she is on the outside. She's incredibly gentle, eager to please, and happiest when she's with her people or another dog. She walks beautifully on a leash, staying right by your side without pulling, and she loves making connections with everyone she meets.

Her previous life wasn't the easiest. While she doesn't show signs of abuse, she was neglected and spent a lot of time tied outside or in a crate. Because of that, being left alone can make her anxious. The good news? She's already making amazing progress! Since coming into foster care, she's settled in quickly and has gone from barking when left alone to only a few little "see you soon" barks. Even better, she hasn't chewed or destroyed a single bed, toy, or blanket despite what her previous owners reported.

She's a smart, sensitive girl who truly wants to do the right thing. Bath time? She was an absolute superstar. Cats? She isn't bothered by the barn cat she's seen, though she hasn't been loose with cats just yet.

When she arrived, she was much too thin, but she's happily filling out and enjoying regular meals. And those adorable oversized paws? They hint she's still got a little growing to do!

With love, patience, and consistency, this incredibly intelligent pup is going to blossom into the devoted companion she's meant to be.

Fill out her adoption application here: https://form.jotform.com/SaveTexasK9s/adoption-application-form
