Ethel's Story
Ethel is currently enrolled in the 12 week Puppies 4 Parole program through the Mo Department of Corrections. She will graduate around January 15th and will be available for adoption at that time. If you are interested in adopting Ethel, please complete an application and the foster parent will contact you.

Meet Ethel a 57 pound bundle of love ! Ethel was brought into rescue after sustaining injuries, likely from being struck by a car. Most of her wounds had healed before her arrival, although some scars remain and she walks with a minor limp. However, this does not affect her mobility.

Ethel does well with other dogs and loves all people. She can be a bit rowdy, so probably best in a home with older children so she doesn’t knock the little ones down. Ethel is housetrained and crate trained.

She’s a strong girl and tends to pull on the leash especially when setting out for her walk and slows down a bit once she’s had time to release some of her energy. She loves her toys and happily entertains herself. Ethel tends to chew and needs durable toys; she has also damaged her dog beds. This girl also loves water and will wade in the creek if you give her the chance.

If you are interested, complete the
Adoption Application
on our website at
www.NeedyPaws.org
and we will contact you.

Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO.

Ethel’s adoption fee is $295.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.

We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
