Ethel's Story

This little girl recently came in from an over-crowded shelter in Kentucky. Ethel enjoys playing with her toys and especially enjoys a good game of tug of war!
She has endless energy and is definitely your gal if you're looking for a walking or running partner! We believe she is a lab mix but she's rather on the petite side!

Her foster mom is working on her training, and does well with sit, down, and her leash training. "Leave it" is still a work in progress!

Ethel has not had any accidents in the house. Ethel gets very excited when she sees squirrels and rabbits, so we recommend a fenced in-yard. She hasn't been introduced to cats but given her interest in small mammals, she may do best in a dog-only home.

All puppies are in foster care and are not located in our office. Since all of our puppies are held in private foster homes, we look to have an approved application prior to sending someone to a private residence. If you are interested in adoption, please complete an application. Online applications are located on our H.O.P.E website @ www.hopesafehouse.org.

Upon approval of your application, we will contact you with the foster home phone number to arrange a meet and greet. There is no cost or obligation to apply.

*Basic obedience training classes are required for all puppies at an approved certified training facility of your choice. H.O.P.E. pays $50.00 towards the overall cost of classes. You will be required to leave a $100.00 deposit for training at time of adoption. This deposit is 100% refundable after completing the basic obedience class.

All puppies will be up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, spay/neutered*, microchipped and a 30-day health certificate. *If they are too young to be altered, the fee includes spay/neutered at one of our preferred clinics All pets have a lifetime return policy.

Thank you for your interest.
