Estie's Story

Sweet Estie came to us with her mother, Pocket, who was originally labeled as a Ridgeback mix. Of course we weren't going to leave her puppy behind! We later determined that neither dog has Ridgeback in their makeup ... but that's okay - they are equally deserving of our care! Estie had not been around humans when she was rescued. She is about 5 months old. She was really a terrified puppy when she came into foster, but is blossoming a bit each day. She is house trained and crate trained, but also seems comforted sleeping in a bed with someone. She is still warming up to people, and prefers mostly to observe. She is very submissive, and although still timid with most people, she is not at all aggressive. Estie is most comfortable around other dogs - she is super playful and happy when engaged with another dog, or two or six! She has learned a lot from them about interacting with humans. Estie is a very kind and gentle girl. She will be a wonderful companion for a quieter-paced home.

Estie is still being worked with so that she will be ready for a new person or family. If you are interested in learning more about her, please inquire via our website at rincal.org.
