She is sweet, affectionate, and cheerful, always ready to wiggle her way into your lap—or gently (and sometimes not so gently!) push her sister out of the way to make sure she gets her turn.<br/><br/>Essie is very quiet, clean, and excellent in her crate, showing wonderful manners and an easygoing nature. She is great with other dogs and especially loves playing with Ellie. Together they are playful, loving, and endlessly entertaining.<br/><br/>Essie has a bright, happy spirit and thrives on affection. She loves being close to people and will happily follow you around just to be part of whatever you’re doing.<br/>---<br/><br/>We do not adopt on a first-come-first-serve basis, but rather by the best match between dog and family, although we will factor in the order of applications if there are equally good matches.<br/><br/>Our adoption fee for adult dogs is $500 which covers the costs of vetting (spay, vaccinations, heartworm testing, preventatives while in our care, deworming and microchip) and any boarding or transport fees incurred in each dog's rescue. Senior dogs are $250.
