Meet Esme!<br/>I'm a 2-year-old, 60-pound mixed breed beauty with a big heart and a playful spirit. I am an energetic girl who loves to play! I love fetch, and will drop a toy so you can pick it up and throw it again. And again, and again, and again!!! Sometimes I will smoosh the toy against your leg if I think you aren't paying attention. Snuggling and napping are also big favorites. And treats, of course! <br/><br/>I'm also fully potty trained, and I settle in nicely when left alone. I don't bark much. Why waste that energy? <br/><br/>I'm a smart girl who knows “sit,” "wait", "leave it," and comes when called. I've been to Zoom Room and have done really well with basic obedience and focus. I haven’t had much leash practice, but my human is working with me. A fenced yard where I can run is a big plus! I also love the snow!<br/><br/>I would probably thrive best as the only dog in the home. I would love to be your one-and-only, and in return, I'll fill your life with love, loyalty, and plenty of fun. Our application process includes landlord approval and vet checks. Please make sure all of your information is current and accurate, including a valid email address and phone numbers. Inaccuracies and/or incomplete data will delay and/or cancel your application. We strive to process all applications in a timely manner, but with the high volume of applications we are receiving, it is taking anywhere from 1-3 weeks. You may be contacted via email if there are concerns or questions. Once all of your information is reviewed and if your application is approved, you will be notified via email. Submitting an application and receiving an approval does not guarantee you will be adopting the dog you applied for. Once you move to the meet and greet process, you will be contacted by the foster family to further discuss the dog, and answer questions you may have, and if applicable, a meet and greet will be set up at our adoption center. Meet and greets are only set up with approved applicants, and we require all members in the household to be present, as well as any current dogs in the home. Meet and greets take place at our adoption center located in New Berlin. If you are proceeding with adopting a Lucky Mutt, we will require the dog to have a Martingale collar at the time of adoption, to ensure the dogs safety during the transition to a new home. <br/><br/>Current Adoption Fees Are:<br/>$425+tax for puppies to 3 years old<br/>$375+tax for ages 4-7<br/>$275+tax for ages 8 and up<br/>Bonded pairs vary<br/><br/>The adoption fee covers spay/neuter, up to date age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, general deworming, heartworm test, (if over 6 months) and a certified veterinary inspection. Please be aware, listed dog breeds are based on information provided and cannot be guaranteed. Submitting an application for a particular dog does not guarantee that you will be the applicant chosen, we receive several applications for each dog. Our adopters are picked based on the needs of the dog, and the home we feel with best fit based on your responses to our application, vet information and landlord requirements. Approved applicants not chosen for the dog you applied for, will be in active status for a period of six months. We encourage you to watch Petfinder, Facebook and our website for upcoming dogs. Please be patient with us, as Lucky Mutts Rescue is run strictly by volunteers and many of us work full time jobs, have families and also foster dogs.
