Hi there, I'm Ernie! I was found by the side of the road one day with my brother, Burt. We were just puppies then. The kind strangers that found us loaded us up in the car and took us straight to ARFhouse. <br/><br/>I am a sweet young Lab mix; approximately 3 years old and I weigh 68 Lbs. I've been at the sanctuary for far too long; I guess no one wants a black dog. That's okay because I spend my day with my best friend, running and playing in our large, fenced yard. I get along great with other dogs, I am a very friendly and affectionate guy, and I love the water! I've spent most of my life here at the sanctuary, so it might take me a little longer than most to adjust to a new home, but I promise I will do my best and make the most wonderful companion. Because of my size and energy level, I would not be suitable for an apartment; I will need a home with a fenced yard so that I can run and play as I please (maybe even romp around in a kiddie pool if you'll let me!). <br/><br/>The fee to adopt Ernie is $200.00; this includes neuter, deworming, vaccinations and a microchip.
