Erin's Story
ERIN is a 5-year-old (as of 7/1/25), 45 lb, spayed female pitbull terrier mix. She arrived at Animal Alliance with her puppies after being found living outdoors, severely malnourished but determined to care for her pups. Now healthy and happy, Erin loves playing with male dogs at the shelter. She’d do well in a home with older children and a male dog companion.

This pet is spayed or neutered in accordance with our strict policy wherein all animals are altered prior to adoption. This pet is dewormed, current on vaccines, and started on monthly flea/tick and preventatives.

Animal Alliance does not adopt adult dogs (over 9 months old) into households with children under 9 years of age due to the risk of bites. Puppies 9 months of age or younger can be adopted into households with young children ages 4 and older. We do not adopt to families with children 3 years and younger or expectant families due to the safety risk for infants and toddlers.

Prior to submitting an application, please see the Animal Alliance Adoption Process for adoption details.

Animal Alliance is not a shelter where all the animals are housed in one location. Animal Alliance is a foster care network and animals are housed in many different locations. If you are interested in adopting a pet, please apply using the online application; applicants who call our phone line will hear a recorded voicemail with this identical message. We adopt many animals each week and meet prospective adopters at various locations so they can meet the animals they are interested in.

To fill out an adoption application, go to:
https://www.animalalliancenj.org/fosteradoption-application/
