Enzo's Story

Meet Enzo! This handsome boy was born on October 27th 2023. He is neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. Enzo is the only pet at home and yet he is great with other dogs and people. He doesn't have any experience with cats, so not sure how he would do with them. Enzo currently doesn’t live with kids and due to his high energy and resource guarding he would be better in a home with no kids.

He is a really high energy and playful dog, adventurous, expert giving kisses, sweet, smart and silly boy. Enzo loves being outside and fetch his ball! He is great company for camping trips and he will always be down for a new adventure. Enzo is mostly crate training and house-broken (provided you let him out regularly).

Enzo is in search of a new home because he is resource guarding ( food mainly, toys sometimes) and can be mouthy (was normal as a puppy but now inappropriate as he's gotten bigger) when he is seeking attention. His next family must be willing to do training with him and work through his behavioral problems. He really is a great dog and will make his new family super happy!
?
Enzo is located in Novato, CA (Marin County). California Pit Bull Rescue's Adoption Policy
If you are interested in adopting a dog through California Pit bull Rescue (CPR) we have a few standard steps you will need to take: We ask that you fill out our Adoption Questionnaire, to help determine what type of dog(s) would best suit you. We will arrange for a "meet and greet" with your dog(s) of choice -- everyone, human or not, who will be living with the dog or interacting with him/her regularly is required to meet in person. Home checks are mandatory -- this is when we will get a first glimpse of how your prospective family member fits in and adjusts in your home. If all goes well, we start your trial adoption period with our adoption contract and donation (which includes microchipping, vaccination and spay/neuter) of $300. Depending on the situation, you will be required to check in at intervals to provide updates on the dog's transition. In most cases we will conduct a minimum of one follow-up visit to check on the dog's condition and welfare post adoption. You will also be required to provide proof of training with an approved trainer within one month of placement, before the adoption can be finalized. We also strongly recommend that you continue lifelong training with your dog. All CPR dogs have our full support post-adoption for questions, advice and feedback. Should you ever find yourself in the position of having to give up your dog, we require that you contact us first. We also strongly urge you to contact us before issues arise, so we can provide the resources you need to successfully keep your dog with you for life.
