Emmy's Story
Emmy was recently rescued from being euthanized at a high-kill shelter. She came to us a ball of tangled matted fur - she didn't even look like a dog. After a good clipping, out emerged a little spunky girl that just loves to be the center of attention. If you are looking for an older companion that will curl in your lap or go on car rides with you, this is your girl!

Emmy is a senior dog with a lot of spunk left in her. She only weighs about 5 pounds so she's a tiny girl that can easily travel with you!

Emmy needs a dental and some tooth extractions. Other than her dental, she has no known health issues.

Emmy will be scheduled for a dental very soon.
Emmy had her dental on the 20th of January. All of her teeth were removed and she is on pain med. and antibiotics. She is doing great and now is not in severe pain from the infected teeth.
She is a precious little soul and loves to sleep in the big bed.
She would need to go to a home with another dog or cat to keep her company when she is alone and a mom or dad home most of the day because she needs the companionship . She would love to be held and spoiled for her remaining years. She so deserves it.
Update: Newest picture of Emmy with her teeth removed. Her little tongue hangs out and she is still getting use to not having the teeth to keep it in. Her face needs to be washed, esp. around her mouth daily for there is a little infection left in her mouth and it cakes around her mouth. She remains on antibiotics and am hoping that by the end of next week she will be cleared up.
Emmy is food aggressive but if fed separately, she doesn't have to gulp her food and try to protect it. This is common with dogs who have been living on the streets without food.
She is now 6 lbs.
Emmy goes outside to do her business and uses piddle pads.
She is a precious little girl and appreciates being loved and will fall asleep on your lap with a smile on her face.
