Emmett is a German Shepherd mix that would be the perfect dog if you were able to order from Amazon! This guy is high-energy and loves to go on walks and would probably make a great running partner. He loves to run and wrestle with the resident older dogs and play with ALL the toys. He may enjoy something like agility. Emmett is totally potty-trained and will sit at the door when he has to go out. Emmett loves to be with the foster family and GSD foster brother and sister. He stays nearby so he doesn’t miss out on anything. He loves car rides and spending as much time outside as possible. He has met and been fine with other dogs and has shown no interest in the resident cats. Emmett prefers to cuddle in bed at night with his people and has been sleeping 6-8 hours at night loose. Emmett has anxiety about being in a crate, but does great in the house with the resident dogs. He plays with his toys, chews on his bones, or takes a nap until the humans return home. He would do great with a canine brother or sister. This guy is one in a million and can’t wait to meet his fur-ever family. As a foster-based rescue, we do not have a central facility to visit. Meet and greets with specific dogs are arranged once your adoption application (not an inquiry through Petfinder) has been received, processed, and approved. We do not allow our dogs to be tied, tethered, chained or secured on a tie out for any of our dogs. We do not allow our rescue dogs to go into homes with an underground electronic fence system.

FaerieLand Rescue's Adoption Policy

FaerieLand process is the following: You can view our pets on Petfinder or the website. We require an application with a paid $25.00 application processing fee, with 2 personal & 1 vet reference along with a home visit prior to doing an adoption. Most of our dogs do better in a fenced area vs running loose. We match our rescues with current families according to current family members (IE: adults, children, teens), current pets(IE other dogs, other animals) and location, experience, level of activity, personality of the dog, temperament of the dog and want each dog to find their Furever home. Applying for a dog does not entitle you to adopt one of our dogs. German Shepherds & Welsh Corgis are herding dogs and need a job. They are not good dogs for apartments or small spaces. They require exercise every day. They require training and socialization to become a well rounded family member.
