He has a big personality and isn't shy about sharing his opinions! He's a talkative little guy with a loud bark, so he'll do best in a home without shared walls, such as a house rather than an apartment or condo. He is incredibly affectionate and devoted to his person. He loves being by your side and will happily follow you from room to room. Because he has separation anxiety, he's looking for a home where someone is around most of the day. His happiest place is wherever you are. He's fully potty trained and enjoys sleeping either in bed with his person or in his own dog bed. He loves toys, enjoys playing fetch, and is always ready for a fun game. During the day, you'll often find him soaking up the sunshine with a nice sunbath. He has an upbeat, happy personality and is highly food motivated, making treats a great way to reinforce training. He needs to be the only pet in the home. While he may be fine around other dogs in some situations, he can become protective of his person and his food, which can lead to snakiness toward other dogs. For everyone's safety and happiness, he will thrive best as your one and only furry companion. Emmett does have mild luxating patellas, but they are non-painful and do not require surgery, but it is something that his new family should be aware of and his activity (such as jumping up and down off furniture) should be monitored.
