Emma Lou Coonhound Lexington, MA

Emma Lou is a 4 - 5 year old Redtick Coonhound.  She weighs around 50 lbs, is friendly with everyone she meets, good with most dogs.  There will be an adjustment period for her to be comfortable in a new home as she has never been inside a home until a month ago and would do best as an only dog.  Emma Lou is playful and more human focused than pack focused.  She would love hikes and walks where she can be an average Coonhound.  She is vocal when she needs to be, but loves the quality of quiet time and a good nap.  She is crate trained and housebroken.   Her perfect home would not have any cats or any other dogs, have a fenced yard to run around in, kids older than 12, and people with Coonhound experience.  She is in NH and available for visits.

About our rescue
We are a foster based rescue. Our dogs are in foster homes throughout the area or in some cases in the south waiting to be transported north. We do not have a physical shelter. However, meet and greets are set up for approved applicants.

Once we review your application one of our Adoption Counselors will be in touch to review it with you. Once the phone interview is completed, we will check your vet reference as well as a personal reference and conduct a home visit.
