At 11 years old, she’s a calm, affectionate companion who loves nothing more than curling up in a warm lap. Emily is the quieter and more reserved half of her bonded pair. She looks to her best friend Armani for confidence. When Armani is nearby (which is always!), Emily blossoms—following her lead and happily joining in whatever cozy adventure is happening, whether it’s cuddling on the couch or exploring the yard.<br/><br/>Emily and Armani are crate trained and even prefer to share a crate—there’s comfort in being together. They also ride beautifully in the car and seem to be reliably house-trained. Emily currently lives with other dogs and cats. She coexists peacefully with everyone—she’s especially respectful of the bigger dogs around her.<br/><br/>If you’re looking for a loving, calm, and gentle companion—Emily is your girl. But her truest joy comes from being with Armani. The adoption amount is a suggested donation of $200 to $300 dollars based on the pet's age.<br/><br/>**Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers, local applications will take precedence. We will accept out of town applications, but any family is responsible for coming to Charlotte to complete a meet and greet. All out of town applicants will also have to be willing to drive to Charlotte to pick up the pet as soon as they are approved to adopt. **
