Ember the Angel

Ember is perhaps the most unbelievably gentle, tender, loving, wonderful golden girl whose heart has been pretty broken. This amazing angel in dog form, needs to find an angel in human form to be her new mom and/or dad. <br/>Ember was found crying outside in the cold in an apartment complex. A resident of the complex moved out and abandoned her in the freezing cold in the complex dog park. People noticed her sitting there cold and crying through the day and curled up in a ball overnight shivering, while this devoted girl sat crying and waiting for an owner who never came back for her.<br/>The next day, a resident of the complex brought her indoors and reached out for help as they couldn’t bear to watch this sad old girl suffer any longer. <br/>She was so gentle and kind, grateful for a meal and cozy blankets to curl up in. <br/>Thankfully a foster home heard of her story and agreed to take this girl in and care for her while we worked to find her a truly wonderful home.<br/>Upon going to the vets, she had her vaccines and heartworm tested negative, established that she’s a bit hard of hearing and her sight isn’t perfect, but further testing revealed, to everyone’s devastation, that she has cancerous tumors in her lungs. You’d never know it as she’s a happy girl who still plays and is always smiling, she appears healthy, but is not a candidate for conventional treatment. Essentially, she needs to find an angel who understands her circumstances- and like us, believes no dog should pass on without knowing the love of a truly devoted family.<br/>Despite her prognosis, you’d never know she was sick. She is still playful sometimes, and is a complete angel. She is fantastic with other dogs, and loves everyone she meets! She is wonderful with cats, and friendly with every human being on earth. Her favorite thing ever is snuggling on the sofa with you and watching movies, and she loves to snuggle in bed at night. Shes mellow and just such an easy girl to have and to love. She can go anywhere you’d like to take her and will greet everyone with a gentle wag and a smile. She embodies such incredible optimism and gratitude for any love and warmth she can get.<br/>She has a true angel, and deserves so much better of a final chapter of her life.
