Ember Leigh

My name is Ember Leigh, and I was rescued by BFF from a small animal control in South Houston Texas who has very little space for the number of dogs they take in. <br/><br/>I appear to be a Schnauzer/possibly Dachshund mix and this is a guess just based on my size and looks. The photos do not show very well. Black dogs are hard to photograph, but I do have the scruff on my face like a Schnauzer. The few times I've made a sound, my foster mom says I yap like a Schnauzer.<br/><br/>I am very sweet and calm. I get along with everyone at my foster home (dogs and cats) and that is saying something, because there are many!! I eat with 4 others and no aggression issues. I sleep on a pillow in bed with my foster mom and do not get up all nite and then in the morning I am ready to go outside. <br/><br/>I am a small girl, about 11 lbs. and appear to be about 2 yrs. old. Because I am on the smallish side, a home with small children will not work, as I may be injured.<br/><br/>I have not had all of my vetting at this point, as I am new to the program. But will be spay, up to date on vaccines and microchipped before going to my new home. My adoption fee is $225.00.<br/><br/>I want a family that has time for me and an occasional lap to sit in. I am quiet and shy at first, but bond quickly.<br/><br/>There is an application process and a home visit will be done. <br/><br/>PLEASE CONSIDER WHEN ADOPTING A PET, IT CAN BE A 15++ YR COMMITMENT. ADOPT RESPONSIBLY!!
