Ember's Story

Contact foster mom at maureen.bohler@yahoo.com and/or submit an online adoption application and you will be contacted about this girl.

Ember is a 37 llbs, about 1.5 years-old female. She is filly grown, fully vaccinated and fixed. Ember was found as an emaciated stray with a leg injury. Once seen by the vet she diagnosed with an old leg injury (possible hit by a car) that was never taken care of and healed improperly. It will be a life long injury that can’t be fixed due to how the bone fused back together without medical attention. The other option was to take the leg completely to alleviate some painful but her foster mom chose to keep her leg and give her pain meds at the sign of discomfort. As of today she is a happy (and slight naughty girl) who likes to run around chasing lizards and rabbits. She can have a full and happy life but will not be suitable for someone who is looking for dog to do extreme hiking or climbing. She is very interested in other dogs and cats but should have her human present because even though she has hurt no other animal she’s still learning to play gentle. She understands basic commands: no, off, inside, and outside. She is house trained and crate trained. She loves playing with dog toys. She most likely will do best in a family with kids because of her high energy and playfulness. She is very treat motivated and she’s a big fan of pup cups from Starbucks.

Are you ready to share a life with his girl?
