She’s already catching onto potty training and has gone outside about 50% of the time in her first day - great progress.

She spent her first night in the kennel and slept six straight hours. She does cry and yelp for the first 5–10 minutes when going in, but settles once she realizes she’s safe. She’s also doing well with short periods of alone time.

She’s very smart and treat-motivated - she already caught onto how to “sit” in her first 24 hours!

She’s working through some food guarding as she adjusts in a home with two older dogs. She’s incredibly friendly and would love a playful companion.

She loved her first leash walk, enjoys her puppy toys, and is a big snuggler. Sweet spirit, quick learner, and full of love. Elyse can’t wait to find her forever family.

2/8/26 Sitter Feedback: Elyse is a sweet little girl with a heart overflowing with love. She adores being close to her people—whether she’s cuddling, following you from room to room, or soaking up every bit of affection she can get. Her gentle nature and eagerness for attention make her instantly endearing.

Her playful, silly personality adds a spark of joy to every day. Elyse is the kind of puppy who can make you laugh with her goofy antics and then melt into your arms for snuggles. If you’re looking for a loyal best friend who will love you endlessly and brighten your life, Elyse is ready to be your girl.

She’s still a puppy, so she’s learning the ropes of going potty outside. She uses potty pads but does miss sometimes. Elyse is smart, eager to learn, and will thrive with someone who has the time and patience to guide her as she grows. To view additional dogs available for adoption, please see our website: www.4luvofdog.org
