Elvis's Story

Meet Elvis Some dogs walk into a room. Elvis makes an entrance. This handsome Australian Cattle Dog mix has piercing blue eyes that will absolutely stop you mid-sentence. He’s observant, thoughtful, and always paying attention—like he’s quietly watching the detectives of everyday life, studying the scene before deciding exactly how he wants to join in.

Like most cattle dogs, Elvis is smart and likes having a little purpose. Walks, puzzle toys, learning tricks, or simply supervising the household like a slightly judgmental middle manager are all right up his alley. Spend a little time with him and you’ll realize something pretty great—everyday you write the book on life together, and Elvis is very ready to be the co-author.

Elvis is crate trained and does well there, though he may give a few protest barks at first to let you know he’d much rather be hanging out with you. He’s neutered, up to date on his vaccinations, microchipped, and doing well with house training, but he can still have the occasional accident if left unsupervised—so a little structure and routine will help him keep improving. Once Elvis bonds with his people, he’s all in. He’ll happily follow you from room to room making sure everything is running properly.

Say a name—maybe even Alison or Veronica—and he’ll pop up to make sure he’s not missing anything important. He’d love a home that appreciates a smart, active dog with a sense of humor about life. Elvis enjoys adventures, learning new things, and sometimes getting a little burst of excitement when it’s time to play—you might say every now and then he just needs you to pump it up. At the end of the day, though, Elvis is really just looking for his people: someone who will appreciate those incredible blue eyes, his clever mind, and his big loyal heart. Give him that and he’ll return the favor with a lifetime of companionship, laughs, and plenty of peace, love, and understanding.

Come meet Elvis. Trust us—this is one show you’ll want front-row seats for.

Elvis is being fostered in Jessup, MD and is ready to meet her forever family.

Questions: johan.stewart@gmail.com

Apply: https://www.acdra.org/adoption-application
