Meet Elvira!<br/>Elvira is a roughly two-year-old Chihuahua mix weighing about 14 lbs, with a heart as big as her personality. She is an incredibly sweet, loving girl who absolutely adores being around her people. Kisses, cuddling, playing and quality time are her favorite things.<br/><br/>She can live with cats and can also live with other dogs. Elvira has met a 6-year-old child and did well, so she could be placed in a home with dog-savvy kids ages 6 and up. She is also housebroken and sleeps in a crate overnight. <br/><br/>She may not be the best fit for shared-wall living like apartments or townhomes because of all the noise from living in a shared wall environment.<br/><br/>Elvira is microchipped, spayed, up to date on rabies and distemper, has had a negative fecal and has been on a flea & tick/heartworm preventative. She has also had a negative heartworm test.<br/><br/>Elvira is all love, loyalty, and personality — and she’s ready for a home that will cherish her as much as she’ll cherish them. <br/><br/>- Elvira's adoption fee is $350 + Minnesota sales tax. Please note that SDR is philosophically opposed to the idea of buying and selling animals, and we support any future legislation that would remove sales tax from adoption fees. Until then, however, it must be charged.<br/><br/>- Please note that we do not have a shelter, and all dogs are in foster homes. Since we strive to provide the best possible care for our animals, sometimes we cannot answer emails promptly.
