Elvie's Story
Elvie is ten years young, a devoted, sensitive and loving Chihuahua. For most of his life, Elvie lived with a senior lady in a quiet home. He came into foster care with We Care for Animals when his owner passed. Elvie likes a quiet home (no children please) and is very comfortable with women. In a home with more than one person, he will most likely gravitate to the lady of the house. Elvie will need time to acclimate to a new home and routine. Once he is comfortable in your home and trusts you, he will be devoted to you and become your trusted companion. He just wants to be loved and enjoy a quiet environment to which he is accustomed. His fosters know what he needs to thrive in a new home.

Elvie is housetrained and uses a doggy door. He loves walks and walks very well on leash. Elvie rides well in a car in a dog bed and is very quiet. Elvie has some separation anxiety and will tend to whine initially when left alone.

Elvie weighs about 14 lbs., which is an ideal weight for him. He has received a vet exam with lab work and had a dental. He is current on his vaccines and is microchipped. If you have an interest in Elvie, please complete and submit our Adoption Interest Form at wecareforanimals.org and his foster will be in touch.
