Elvie's Story
Meet Elvie! Elvie is 10 years young, a sweet and sensitive Chihuahua. For most of his life, Elvie lived with a senior lady in a quiet home. Elvie came into foster care with We Care for Animals when she could no longer care for him. Elvie likes a quiet environment (no children), is very comfortable with women and prefers not to share his home with other animals. In a home with more than one person, he will most likely gravitate to the lady of the house. Elvie will need time to acclimate to a new home and routine. He just wants to be loved and enjoy a quiet environment to which he has been accustomed.

Elvie is housetrained and uses the doggy door. He enjoys walks and hanging out with his person. Elvie rides well in a car in a dog bed. He has not shown interest in toys as yet. Elvie has some separation anxiety and will tend to bark or whine when left alone.

Elvie weighs about 14 lbs. which is an ideal weight for him. He has received a vet exam, had lab work done, and just had a dental. He is current on his vaccines and is microchipped. If you have an interest in Elvie, please complete and submit our Adoption Interest Form at wecareforanimals.org and his foster will be in touch. Elvie's adoption fee is $150.
