Elsa May's Story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Our Gentle Giant
This beautiful 3-year-old female Bullmastiff is the definition of a loving, laid-back companion. Weighing in at approximately 120 pounds, she truly believes she’s a lap dog — and honestly, we’re not here to argue with her!
She absolutely adores people of all ages, including little kids. Her temperament is calm, affectionate, and incredibly gentle. She has previously lived with other female dogs and did well. So far, she seems easygoing and adaptable.
She does seem to admire men just a little more than women and really lights up around them, so she would love a home that includes a male presence.
Her favorite things?• Attention and affection• Giving sweet kisses• Taking treats ever so gently• And if you happen to have cheese balls... she’s your new best friend
Because she previously lived in a kennel environment, we are currently working on housebreaking. The good news? She is crate trained and will bark to let you know when she needs to go outside — she just needs consistency and routine to fully transition into home life.
She will benefit from continued work on basic obedience and leash skills, but she is eager to please and responds well to gentle guidance. With structure, patience, and positive reinforcement, she will thrive.
She is currently thriving in a foster home and is ready to find her forever family to continue her journey in a loving, structured home environment.IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ
Click here for the ADOPTION APPLICATION if you are interested in adopting this pet.
Applications are the first step in the adoption process. Please do not call or email simply to express interest. We are all volunteers and receiving your application saves us time and helps to determine the best match for both people and dogs.
We provide as much information as we currently have on each dog in their description. For questions on the adoption process, including fees, please review the Adoption page. If you have additional questions or are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application. Once we receive your application someone will be in touch to answer your questions. We do not arrange visits to meet dogs without an application. If you'd like to meet a variety of dogs without filling out an application please attend one of our events, listed under the events link.
Thank you!
