Elsa Ask to Meet!! In Foster!!

She’s currently in a foster home and not at the shelter. <br/><br/>Elsa, Female, 7 years old, 56 pounds <br/><br/>Meet Elsa!<br/>This sweet 7 year old pittie gal arrived at FAPL in need of TLC and socialization. Off she went to an amazing foster home- and there she learned how to be loved!!<br/><br/>From her foster:<br/>Elsa is a very sweet, gentle, and affectionate dog! She’s house trained and can be left alone in the home out and about without any issues. Elsa loves her toys- and enjoys having a crate open so she can go in and out with her toys! Elsa absolutely loves people of all ages and thinks she’s a lap dog! Warning…. she loves snuggling in her human’s bed, too! Elsa is a smart gal! She knows her name and basic commands. Ohhh she does not care for the cold, so a comfy bed and lots of blankets are on the list for her!! Elsa needs a home without other animals. She just wants to be your one and only, and has so much love to give!<br/><br/>Elsa is still a timid dog, but has made so much progress! She can be a bit nervous outside and riding in the car. A loving, patient adopter who will give her the needed time to adjust like her foster mom, is just what Elsa needs. She’s so willing to please and watching her gain confidence- has been priceless!! Elsa will make a very loving companion. <br/><br/>Elsa is HW positive, and received her first treatment on 3/3/26. She will need to be brought back to FAPL for additional treatment at no cost to her adopter. During treatment, limited activity is important. She would do so much better being in a home!!<br/><br/>No appointment is necessary to adopt. Adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis, by visiting the shelter. Applications are not accepted in advance, but will be filled out upon adoption. <br/><br/>If you have another dog and/or children in your family and are interested in adopting a FAPL dog, please bring them with you for a meet and greet. Please bring a copy of lease agreement if you rent home/apartment. <br/><br/>All dogs receive one or more vaccinations, a basic veterinary examination, are dewormed, microchipped, and spayed or neutered. Dogs 7 months and older are heartworm tested.<br/><br/>Upon visiting FAPL, if you don’t see a particular dog you are looking for that is on the website, please ask at the front desk.
