Elsa is a very sweet 8-9 month old Border Collie mix. She gets along well with every dog she meets. She loves kids, walks, playing fetch, chewing on bones and cuddling on the couch. Elsa has really come out of her shell. She can sit for treats and is a quick learner when treats and other dogs are involved. Carrots are her favorite treat. She’s shy but warms up to new people with gentle pets and kind words. She appreciates patience and love. She is spayed, up to date on shots and heartworm tested negative. Paws 4 the Cause is an all volunteer "no kill" rescue. We do not harm animals, but the more we can adopt out, the more we can take in. We take in the hardest cases, dogs and cats that are close to death or starvation. The adoption fee barely covers a fraction of what we spend. Our average animal costs about $200 for the first month in food and vet fees, and approx. $50 per month thereafter. All donations are used to pay directly for animal food and vet expenses. There are no employee or overhead expenses.
