Presumed to be a hit-by-car dog, she was rescued from the LA County Carson Shelter in January 2024. Elsa was picked up by animal control with duct tape wrapped around a fractured leg. :( <br/><br/>The shelter sent her to an outside vet for x-rays and removal of the duct-taped bandages, which were replaced with a soft cast while she awaited further treatment. Elsa then saw a surgical specialist who repaired her radial ulna fracture, and has since been receiving specialized post-op physical therapy in her foster home with Hershey & Violet.<br/><br/>Elsa has been sweet and friendly with her foster-siblings, and all of her care providers. What a good girl! Her age estimate* is about 6-8 years old, and she weighs about 22 pounds.
