Elmer's Story

Elmer is an adorable "low-rider" mixed breed rescued as a stray in Mississippi. He weighs 40# and is estimated to be ~ 2 years old. He is great with other dogs, but would be best in a home without cats. He has not lived in a house before, yet is learning quickly how great it is. He is super sweet, eager to please, and is food motivated.

He is neutered and vaccinated. He is heartworm positive and has started treatment (covered by the rescue). He will need to be adopted locally to facilitate the remainder of his treatment at the rescue's vet.

His adoption fee is $500. To apply to adopt (or foster-to-adopt) go to cvcaninerescue.org. His current foster home has a cat, and if possible, we'd love to find him a local foster without a cat.
