ELLORI's Story

MEET MS. ELLORI…a little black/white, 13 lb, 6-7 yr old (could be older) ShiPoo, who hails from the East Valley Shelter. No question that the shelter offered a better life than her former home….and that’s saying something. This little girl was definitely neglected and is blind as a result. Her eyes are scarred from lack of care — which shouldn’t be at her age. Her teeth look pretty good, but she is very nervous. Not aggressive, she just needs to know what you are doing or she shakes like a leaf! Once in your arms, she settles down and snuggles with you. And she gives kisses!

Ellori needs a home that understands blind dogs and/or just wants a special needs dog to love and nurture. She just arrived, and so far isn’t doing a lot, doesn’t have an interest in toys but enjoys her food. She likes strolling on a walk and takes her time sniffing and smelling the grass. She really didn’t walk on a leash when she arrived, but she is getting the hang of it if you meander around leisurely.

Aside from her blindness, Ellori is very healthy, quiet and gets along with other dogs. Basically she is independent and hopefully will blossom once she realizes how blessed she is! It’s hard to understand how any family can let this happen to their child 🙁 Will you be Ellori’s hero and give her the life she deserves?
