Elliott's Story

Elliott arrived as an extremely handsome albeit overweight fellow. While we aren't quite ready to call this well-rounded shelter pet ‘slim jim', he's definitely made huge strides in bringing his weight down. Elliott is between 4 and 5 years old.

This very handsome fellow loves humans and his daily exercise routine. He comes when called, knows his name, plays well with his many canine companions and loves his bed. A routine oriented Australian Cattle Dog, aka Blue Heeler, Elliott can't keep pace with the high energy one-year olds, but loves to engage as the mood strikes him. Some of his favorite things are sunbathing, grooms/belly rubs/ back scratches and meals . . . especially home cooked meals Don't expect this guy to get out and chase cattle, but we still recommend a fenced in yard to keep him safe.

Crate trained and housetrained, Elliott comes with our standard medical package which includes his neuter, microchip, rabies, parvo-distemper and bordetella. He has been de-wormed, is heartworm negative and is on flea and tick as well as heartworm prevention. He does require a fenced in yard and preferably a canine companion.

If you believe your environment and family are a match for handsome Elliott and you are interested in meeting him, please submit an application.

If you believe your environment and family are a match for handsome Elliott and you are interested in meeting him, please submit an application.
