Meet Ellie! Ellie is approximately 2 years old and is an unknown mixture of breeds, but she's a tiny 28 lbs and has the cutest ears that resemble either Beagle or Dachshund? Either way, she's Pure Bred Adorable! <br/><br/>Ellie was found as a stray on Christmas Eve and was never claimed by an owner. Because of this, we don't know what her life was like prior to being found. She was so scared when she first got here, understandably overwhelmed, but it didn't take her long to come around and we know she'll do even better once she's in a home environment. <br/><br/>Ellie's ideal family would be one who is understanding of bashful dogs and willing to take things slowly if she needs extra time to settle in and feel comfortable. We think she'll do fine with children who are quieter and respectful, and she should do well with (and could actually benefit from) having other animals around in the home as well! <br/><br/>Ellie keeps her kennel clean here at the shelter, so although we don't know what (if any) potty training she may have had before, we think utilizing a crate will go well while she's adjusting to the new potty schedule. <br/><br/>Ellie is young enough to be active, but her insecurities may cause her to be more on the mellow/cuddly side, so a moderately active owner would suit her just fine. She is so incredibly sweet and affectionate, and loves to be close to her humans as much as possible.
