Hi I'm Ellie.
I was wandering near the border for a long time, just trying to survive. I didn't have much, no home, no safety, and not enough food.
One day, everything changed.
A kind officer saw me and didn't want me to get hurt. When Natalie from the rescue crossed into Mexico, he asked her for help. She didn't plan on taking me that day but she said yes anyway.
I remember being picked up. I was tired, hungry, and weak. I only weighed 21 pounds. But for the first time in a long time, I felt safe.
That's how I got my second chance.
Now I'm finally getting the care I need. I will be spayed, vaccinated, and brought back to full health. Every day I'm learning what it feels like to be cared for, to have a full belly, and to rest without fear.
Even after everything I've been through, I'm still gentle. I still trust. I still love.
I'm ready to leave my past behind and find a home where I can truly bel

Even after everything I've been through, I'm still gentle. I still trust. I still love.
I'm ready to leave my past behind and find a home where I can truly belong.
Maybe that could be with you.
