The most lovable velcro dog, Ellie will quietly follow you around and keep you company. She will give a cute single bark, once in awhile, to tell you she needs help getting up the sofa where the plushy blankets are. Ellie has short legs and some instability in her hind legs but she can still walk and run and will never turn down a short walk around the block.<br/><br/>Ellie is aged to be ~12 years young and is a low-shed Maltese mix. She is fully house trained and can use a doggy door. She is crate trained but prefers to roam around when you are home. She has impeccable house manners and loves to be with her foster while she works from home. She gets along well with other calm dogs. (Not sure about cats but she is so easy going, we don't see an issue.) She is a smart girl who knows "come" .<br/><br/>An ideal home for Ellie would have no stairs, or an owner willing to carry her up and down stairs. She likes to snack, roam the backyard, and go on very short walks. Mostly, she just wants to be with you and have a dog bed in your bedroom. She would love to have her person at home or be able to go to work with them. She has diminished vision from age but is not blind (meaning she knows where you keep the treats), and has daily eye drops for dry eye. She also takes probiotics and omega-3 oil supplements to keep her healthy.<br/><br/>Ellie is spayed, current on vaccinations, and microchipped.
