Ellie is spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to become part of your family. <br/><br/>Our latest arrival is looking to spend her 5th birthday with the family of her dreams!! She is crate trained, loves being outdoors, playing in her fenced in back yard, working on her leash training but enjoys her walks and gets along fine with her foster beagle brother. Her greatest pleasure is watching TV! Sports, latest news, weather, a Hallmark movie - it does not matter as long as she can cuddle by your side and enjoy the show with a human companion. <br/><br/>Ellie enjoys being busy and “helping” around the house. She would do well with an active family that has a fenced in yard and time to play or hike with her. Beagles are used for safety testing of human and veterinary medicines for the same reasons that they make good pets; they're small and gentle-natured. Where does Happy Paws Rescue come into the picture? On a regular basis, research facilities have beagles that they release to us. It gives us and you a chance to give back to these sweet dogs that have contributed to the advancement of science. Please email us if you're ready to be a giant hero in the eyes of a little dog!<br/><br/>Thinking about adopting Muffin? Here’s how:<br/>1. Fill out an application found at www.happypawsrescue.org under the *ADOPT* tab. <br/>2. Please allow 5-7 business days for us to review and respond to your application. <br/>3. Approved applicants will be invited to come meet Muffin at a scheduled meet and greet or adoption event.<br/>4. If both you and the rescue agree that the dog you meet is a good fit for your home, you will fill out an adoption contract and exchange an adoption fee of $400 for dogs. You dog can go home the day of the Meet & Greet. <br/>5. We generally adopt to families within a 90 mile radius of our home base in Piscataway, NJ but may consider farther distances in the tri-state region if volunteers are available. If you live beyond our geographical boundaries, we hope you will contact rescue organizations closer to your home.
