Rescued: 7/29/2023<br/>Age at the time of rescue: 6 weeks<br/>Current weight: 40 pounds<br/><br/>Meet Elle!<br/><br/>Elle is a sweet, gentle girl who has settled beautifully into foster care and gets more comfortable with the world every day. As her confidence grows, we're seeing more of the playful dog underneath.<br/><br/>Elle loves walks, especially wooded trails where she can sniff and explore. She's also a great car companion. At home, she's house trained, knows sit and down, and enjoys relaxing with an antler. Lately she's been getting excited about chipmunks, choosing her own toys, and even getting playful with her foster mom.<br/><br/>Elle lives with another dog and does very well with him. They enjoy walks together and an occasional game of chase, but she's also happy simply sharing space. She could live with a friendly, respectful dog or be perfectly content as an only dog.<br/>Elle can still be shy with new people and unfamiliar situations, but she's making wonderful progress. At a recent adoption event, she did well with volunteers even when her foster mom stepped away, happily accepting treats and waiting for her return.<br/><br/>Elle would thrive in a quieter home with someone who enjoys walks, appreciates a calm companion, and will give her time to settle in.
