Right now we have 5 dogs with medical needs so our fees are a bit high. Thank you for understanding rescue.<br/>We are all volunteers.<br/><br/>ELF is a puppy and we have no idea how large he will be, so if it matters to you, PLEASE DO NOT APPLY, we do not know his parentage. He is 4.5 months old and 12 lbs and is a fuzzy terrier mix. Extremely loving and friendly to humans and dogs. He comes from a shelter in Kansas where we found him and we moved him to our foster home in Arkansas where we work on his socialization and manners. He is mostly fuzzy on his face and we guess he will shed as most dogs. He is your typical puppy, fun playful and loves running around with the other dogs .<br/><br/>Elf is fully vetted and we also microchipped him. His perfect home includes a fenced in yard and a family with kids to play with and maybe another dog too would be nice. We hope he is not left alone all day. We also ask that all our dogs go to training classes with the family.<br/><br/><br/>OUR PROCEDURE: We will choose the dog's possible family as soon as we see a match. We will phone you and further discuss . The dog will be in Rhode Island on January 21 and we will set up the meeting for Saturday Jan. 22, between 9-1PM, so if you are NOT available, DO NOT APPLY. We do require the entire family to be present. <br/> Please realize, it is our goal to get the dogs into the right homes as soon as possible and no shows are not good for the dogs and other serious dog families.<br/><br/> <br/>If you can provide a FABULOUS home please file our free application (see link above) and tell us why we should let you adopt our wonderful rescue.<br/>Once we have reviewed your application and think it is a match we will notify you. Please understand that as these dogs are fostered we do get to know them and have a good idea of their forever home. We do NOT save applications, but you may put multiple names on one application. We do not choose by a first come first serve basis. So if the dog is still up on the site, consider the dog AVAILABLE. We do take down quickly when adopted.
