Elena's Story

There is something to be said about sisters and even more to be said about canine sisters. When you meet the trio of labrador retriever sisters, you will be left speechless. They are sweet, happy and wiggly and around six months old. There is nothing not to love about them. They came into rescue as strays. Their origins might be unknown, but we do know that these gals have lots of potential. Elena is proving to be a good size girl around as she is tipping the scales at around 26 pounds. We can only make a guess with her final weight at adulthood but to the best of our knowledge, we think she will be on the low end of the large size which is anything over 60 pounds. Ultimately her family will have the privilege and joy of watching her grow from an adorable puppy into a beautiful full-grown girl.Since Elena was a stray, she is looking forward to learning all there is to living life in a home where she is adored and loved. She gets along well with other dogs and children. Her days will be a joy filled with lots of adventure and play. Having her family by her side is an added bonus. She has not been exposed to cats since coming into rescue so that remains an unknown at this time. She is working diligently on her skills of house, crate and leash training. All are a work in progress, but she is hopeful and committed to making it to the finish line. As with all puppies, Elena is full of curiosity and wonderment and is ready to grow from adorable puppy to an amazing dog with the right guidance and patience. She will need a home with someone who has the time, desire and energy to train and socialize her so that she can become the perfect lifelong companion. With big dreams comes big ambition and Elena is holding on to her happily ever after. She knows that it is within her reach and patience is a virtue. Bring Elena home to fill your life with her shining light of love. * When considering adoption, keep in mind that dogs thrive on structure and routine. They adjust much better when their owners are committed to providing consistency and stability. The adoption fee for Elena s $500.
