11-month-old male Jack Russell/Chihuahua mix, about 11 pounds. Einstein is a happy, friendly, guy who is very playful! He greets everyone with a calm submission but after he warms up, he is jumping up and begging for loves. He loves to play and run with other dogs, go on walkies and EAT! He has never met a cat. He is still a tad mouthy and will jump up and nip your clothes. He is easily corrected, but he might be a bit much for small kiddos until he matures. He is a medium energy guy. He would love a home with a yard to explore and a play buddy to run with. He has the typical wire haired fur of a JRT. He is an older puppy and will require all the things a puppy needs; leash training, manners, house training and lots of love and PLAY! Smidget Rescue is not a shelter, and dogs cannot be seen at the Rescue location. All dogs are fostered throughout the Puget Sound area and are brought to the events where they can be met by prospective adopters. Puppies are adopted with a refundable spay/neuter deposit (in addition to the adoption fee) and adopters are required to get their puppy to our vet for their pre-scheduled spay-neuter appointments. You must live within a three-hour radius of Seattle, WA, (such as Portland, Vancouver B.C., etc.), so we can arrange for a home visit. If your home seems like a great fit for the dog you would like to adopt, you must then drive to meet the dog at one of our weekend events or at the fosters home.
