Foster and/or adopter for 18-month-old neutered male black Lab mix "Eggs Benedict"<br/><br/>Background. <br/>Adopted from a north bay shelter three months ago, Eggs (Eggy) Benedict has proven to be too much omelet for his humans to handle. He needs room to run and exercise -- a lot! He has so much energy and is so big (and loveable). He has significant separation anxiety and barks if left alone for even a minute. We are getting complaints from neighbors and are in danger of losing our home. Eggy is gret with kids and cats. Very interested to meet and romp with other dogs -- he will pull on leash when he sees another dog, but this is just cause he wants to say hi and play. Incredibly sweet and friendly. Loves people and play and also loves to just hang out. <br/><br/>He is house-broken but not crate-trained. He avoids the crate like the plague. At night Iggy sleeps on a human bed or the couch. We've taken him to weekly group training sessions with a trainer and other dogs for socialization and skill training. He knows many commands: leave it, sit, stay, come, off, and shake. He attends a weekly group doggy training and we play at the dog park 1-2 days per week. When we first introduced him to our cat, she hissed and swiped at him and he snapped at her, but then left her alone. He's been relatively indifferent toward her since. <br/><br/>Loves to snuggle and play with children. He likes to chase kids and toys that are thrown. He tolerates being hugged and snuggled.<br/><br/>What Eggy's Rescue Rep says. <br/>Ain't no delicate breakfast gouda crepe here. He is full on Denny's Big Lumberjack breakfast! Engaging and friendly with humans. A bit of a fetcher. Nice soft mouth. Iggy's foster will have to work on his separation anxiety issues: lots of exercise, properly re-introducing the crate or tie-down tools. Would also benefit from leash training -- he is a strong dog. Would be great in a home with another dog for companionship and mentoring. <br/><br/>Medical. <br/>In fine health. Current on vaccinations. Neutered.
