Eggroll's Story

Meet EggRoll!

Lab/Pointer Mix • 1.5 Years • 55 lbs

EggRoll—also known as Eggs, Eggy, Eggy Pop, Rollie Pollie Ollie, and The Rollster—is a loving, curious, snuggly boy who wants nothing more than a family of his own. He’s the perfect blend of sweetness, silliness, and loyal companionship. He’s affectionate and goofy, and while he can be nervous around new people or unfamiliar items, once he investigates, he warms right up. Loud or sudden noises can spook him, and sometimes he needs a couple days to accept new objects in the home (like the stationary bike that had to earn his trust), but that’s all part of his charm.

EggRoll’s energy level is a wonderful mix of everything. He loves zoomies in the yard, enjoys casual walks, can pick up the pace if you want a running buddy, and is equally thrilled to settle in for a couch-potato snuggle session. He’s house-trained—though you may need to coax him out into the cold—and he’s fully crate-trained. On leash he does well with a harness, and if he gets excited, a quick stop or sit helps him settle. He’ll even stop at crosswalks when you ask. He’s currently working on building confidence in the car and reinforcing his “sit” and “stay” commands; he knows them, but sometimes he’s just too excited to show off.

EggRoll is good with other dogs, showing zero reactivity on walks or at the park, and he’s also good with cats. He hasn’t barked once in his foster home—not even when other dogs bark at him. He absolutely loves toys and prefers to have them all within reach at all times; if you’re willing to throw toys for fetch, you’ll instantly become his best friend. He can be a little nervous with new people or sounds, but once he’s had a chance to observe, he’s perfectly fine.

He truly is a dog who can fit into any family dynamic—calm homes, active homes, retired folks, busy families with kids, or someone wanting a one-on-one best friend. He’s food-motivated (especially for turkey or chicken!) and eager to please. EggRoll is the whole package: sweet, silly, trainable, loyal, and full of love. He’s ready to roll right into his forever home… could that be with you?

Interested in adopting?
