He is currently in a loving foster home in Houston, Texas, and is available for transport to an approved adopter for an additional fee.<br/><br/>Eeyore is blind but has adapted beautifully. He learns home layouts quickly, responds well to verbal cues, and thrives with consistent routines. He bonds deeply with his people and relies on sound and scent rather than sight.<br/><br/>Because Eeyore cannot see, his forever family must be willing to maintain a consistent home environment with minimal furniture changes, speak to him before touching him, especially when he is resting, and keep his world safe and predictable. Baby gates are required for stairs, pools, or unsafe areas, and he must always be leashed outdoors. Interactions with children and other pets must be supervised. He may startle if touched without warning and is not suitable for homes with unsupervised young children.<br/><br/>The ideal home for Eeyore is calm, patient, and safety-minded. Someone willing to advocate for and protect a blind dog. Prior dog experience is helpful but not required.<br/><br/>Blind dogs do not view themselves as disabled. With the right environment, Eeyore will thrive and become a deeply bonded, loving companion.<br/><br/>Eeyore is available for adoption through Saving Pups of Texas. The adoption fee is $600. Transport, if needed, is an additional $250. Adopters must acknowledge and agree to Eeyore’s special needs prior to adoption.<br/><br/>I do not need perfect.<br/>I do not need pity.<br/>I just need you.<br/><br/>If you are ready to be my guide when I am unsure, I promise to be your most loyal companion.<br/><br/>Maybe I cannot see you yet, but I hope you see me.
