Edwin's Story

Edwin is a sweet and gentle approximately 10-year-old, 25-pound Chihuahua mix. He may have applications in progress, but is currently available. He is an easy going boy looking for a forever home to live out his golden years curlig up for long naps between meals and walks. He also enjoys being outside. Edwin loves walks and does well on a leash - he doesn't pull, but he is a zig zagger who likes to stop suddenly at times. He is very cautious and stops to observe almost every car that goes by. He does not react to other dogs but seems to mostly want to watch them pass and then he'll be on his way. We aren't sure what his home situation was as a pup but he is still working on house training. He does great in his crate overnight and while his foster is away from home. He is on a renal diet and eating well. Initially, he shied away from eating if his foster or the resident dog came towards him during mealtime, but is now much more enthusiastic now that he has settled in and has his own "spot" to eat in. Being an older gentleman, he's not a huge fan of full staircases, but is fine with a couple of stairs to get in and out of the house. Adoption fee is $250 and includes spay/neuter, microchip, fecal/deworming, vaccines and prevention up to date. Ohio residents only. STS is a foster-based and volunteer-run rescue. We do not have a physical location or set hours for you to meet dogs, and it does take time to answer each inquiry. All dogs are in foster homes and once an application is approved and a home visit is completed you will be able to schedule meet and greets with available dogs.
