I was on the list to be put down just to make room. But someone saw something in me, and now I’m safe — finally.<br/><br/>I’m a pretty mellow guy. I get along just fine with other dogs, especially if they’re calm and kind like me. I’ve lived with other pups and done well, though I can be a little protective of my food or special treats. It’s nothing dramatic — I just never had much, so I’m still learning it’s okay to share.<br/><br/>People make me so happy — I get excited when I see them! But I might flinch or freeze at first. I try to be brave, even though it’s clear I wasn’t always treated kindly before I got here. I’ve never snaped or growled — just need a little time to trust.<br/><br/>Oh, and about my tail… it’s kind of my trademark now. It’s short, bent, and a little beat up — just like me. But I still wag it every chance I get.<br/><br/>I’m not looking for much — just a quiet, kind home where I can finally rest, be loved, and never have to wonder if I’ll be safe again.
