Hello, I am Edna, female (they may spay me, if my health continues to improve), Shepherd Mix, 12yrs plus. Edna came to HBPets as a stray, her skin was infected, nails grown out and curved inwards, underweight, tail matted with feces. Her attitude was excited to see us, this incredibly sweet girl, was just happy for the attention and treats. We have confirmed through bloodwork she is not spayed, her routine bloodwork was perfect, she is arthritic and has been started on medication for arthritis, we are hoping in a few months to spay her, but currently it is a risk we are not willing to take. Edna is looking for along term foster, maybe even someone who will adopt her in a few months. Edna's ideal home would have a comfy bed, a place to lay in the sun, a yard she can walk around in, she is long past the days of needing walks, she likes to spend a fair amount of time sleeping. She likes calm dogs, we don't know about cats. <br/><br/>From the HBPets team who loves her and has helped get healthier, she should not be in a shelter, we all have many animals at home and young dogs, which she is not a fan of, so our homes are not appropriate for her.
