Edith's Story
Location: Richfield, MN

Edith, aka Sweetie or Edie, is a lovable and loving senior gal who has lived a life that makes our family dogs appreciate their stable, soft, and secure lives. She is housetrained, and doesn't need to be kenneled when home alone. Sweetie enjoys a soft bed, a warm, loving place to call home, and is always first in line for meals. She is not a barker but will vocalize when it's time to eat! She is very food motivated. She spent a weekend with a family with younger kids and was just fine with them as well with their cats who are dog savvy. Sweet Edie faces some senior dog challenges: most of her teeth have been removed (which means she has a very soft mouth taking treats!) and because she has rarely been in a car she is very restless. Packing a lickpad or a chew treat is a good plan! As far as leash walking goes, she is a very slow walker until she spies a squirrel! Edie would love a quiet home with mature dogs and kids so she can enjoy the companionship of others. As she has gained strength she has gained the confidence to join the permanent dogs in greeting guests at the front door, as well as lining up for treats for taking care of business outside. Edie is a sweet, smart senior who deserves a home that will give her the love and care she deserves.

---------------

The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org).

Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs), FIV/FeLV test (cats), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration).

Rescue Network is strictly foster based which means all adoptable animals are in a home and there cannot be a meet until an application is submitted and approved.
