Meet Eddie – Your Loyal, Lovable Shadow<br/>Eddie is a 5-year-old Havanese with a heart as big as his beautiful brown eyes.  Eddie has been with us since February and is now looking for his forever family to share his gentle spirit and sweet companionship.<br/>Eddie has made an incredible recovery after ACL surgery and neutering, and he's nearly back to full strength. He’s learning to navigate the world again with curiosity and a wagging tail. Stairs are still a challenge for him, but he handles a step to the backyard like a champ, and he’s happy to be carried to his cozy sleeping spot with his pack.<br/>Eddie is truly a special soul. His soft, low growl is his quirky way of chatting—whether he’s asking for a belly rub, showing interest in your snack, or simply saying “hi.” He responds well to gentle guidance and has a safe spot he retreats to when he’s feeling unsure. Eddie is incredibly observant and will look you right in the eyes, as if he’s trying to understand your every word.<br/>He loves to share couch time, especially with his buddy Walter. With a patient, dog-savvy adopter, we think he could blossom even more.<br/>Eddie’s favorite place is the backyard, where he loves to roam and soak in the fresh air—especially if he has a human nearby to share the moment. Walks are still new and a little scary, so he prefers short, familiar strolls right now, but he's gaining confidence every day.<br/>Freshly groomed and famous at the groomer’s shop, Eddie is a bit of a heartthrob. His coat was clipped short due to matting, but he was a perfect gentleman for his grooming and adores being brushed—especially if he gets to inspect the brush first!<br/>Eddie would do best in a calm, loving home with a fenced yard, another friendly dog, and an experienced adopter who understands that trust is built gently, with time and love.
