Eddie's Story
Eddie “Big Ed” Spaghetti

Foster Location: Trevor, WI
Age: 13 Weeks Old
Breed: Suspected Great Pyrenees / Anatolian Mix
Adoption Fee: $450
WI DATCP License #: 537304

If you’ve ever looked at a puppy and thought, “There’s no way he’s that young,” welcome to the Eddie experience.

At just 13 weeks old, Eddie — lovingly known as Big Ed or Eddie Spaghetti — is already turning heads with his impressive size. When he arrived, we genuinely questioned his age because surely a puppy this substantial couldn’t possibly be so young. The vet confirmed it… he absolutely is. And he’s only going to grow from here.

We suspect Eddie may be a Great Pyrenees mix, possibly with some Anatolian Shepherd in his lineage. His sturdy build and calm, observant nature suggest he may grow into the kind of dog who watches over his family with quiet confidence and steady loyalty.

But here’s the best part — underneath that big frame is the sweetest, gentlest soul.

Eddie does wonderfully with other dogs, kids, and cats. He’s even good with chickens. He has little to no prey drive and prefers supervising the action rather than participating in chaos. If there’s excitement happening around him, Eddie is more likely to observe thoughtfully than jump into the middle of it.

He does well in his kennel (although his foster mom quickly realized she needed a larger size than originally planned). He is currently working on puppy basics including potty training, leash training, and learning his commands. He is smart and willing — just calm about the process.

His energy level is best described as steady and relaxed. He enjoys playing with his favorite ball, but he is not overly rambunctious. Eddie would rather graze on his food throughout the day than rush through a full meal. He’s content to take his time, take it all in, and be near his people.

As he grows, we expect Eddie to become a loving, gentle giant — the kind of dog whose presence alone brings comfort and security. He is affectionate, steady, and incredibly easygoing for such a young pup.

If you’re ready to welcome a future gentle giant into your home, Eddie may be the perfect fit.

To apply to adopt Eddie, please visit:
MastroMutts.com/forms

All Mastro Mutts are up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations and are either spayed/neutered or adopted with a spay/neuter contract.
