Eddie's Story

ID 61400046
Meet Eddie! This handsome mix of breeds dog is Eddie and he is appx between 1-2 yrs of age. He came to the shelter quite uncertain, skeptical and needed some extra time to decompress, gain trust of people, and realize that once out of the kennel, he would find some friends in the volunteers, and enjoy outdoor time.

Eddie is a lover of fetch. His main goal is get in the yard, find a tennis ball, and happily retrieve for as long as it will be thrown. He will drop one for another, and can also entertain himself sprawling out, rolling around as long as he has his ball near him. He also is a fan of squeaky toys, and will interchange them for maximum fun time. He knows how to sit, does like treats but a ball or toy can be more important to him than a treat.

Eddie is still learning some leash manners on walks so continued training is essential for him once he lands in his home. He does love some praise and affection, and will surely excel as he learns more commands and becomes part of a team with his new person.

Eddie seems to be that dog that would prefer a place where he can start life off as the spoiled pooch in the home. While he has met some other dogs, he has shown he would rather engage with his toys, be with a person to engage with him, and we want to set him up for success.

This guy is really a fun dog and has come so far from his beginning days at the shelter. If you can give him the home that he is looking for, please email pevolaba@gmail.com for more information and a chance to meet him.
